I could see that ending up cool. Hodinkee knows how to style watches, and Blancpain has a lot of really nice designs that could use a tweak.

With the apparent popularity of the newer 40mm Blancpain models I can see something like a TTFF in 40mm.

Whatever it is it’ll be expensive and sell out immediately.

It could be a knock off of the new BP "one watch". That would be an instant sell out.

No one can accuse Hodinkee of not making hay while the sun shines. Will be curious to see this one (along with whatever price they go for on the secondary market).

Yea, I could see a faux-patina ‘dink version being the watch.

For me, remove the date and price it under $10k. This might get my credit card out, especially in the times of $9500 Submariners.

The “only watch” for those who haven’t seen it.

I bet they'd be willing to screw over the one watch buyer, and offer that as a no date. It would be great.

Anyone know about what time it opens for orders?
Have they been consistent?

Very interesting. I really like the barrakuda LE that just came out and I am sure I will like this one, but I am loaded up with 4 BPs right now and for my tastes not sure they can come up with anything anything else in the 40mm range that would beat this one for me. Now, if they did something in 42 with 22mm drilled lugs ...

Whatever it is 1) It will sell out immediately, 2) Will want but cannot afford, and 3) See #1.

This. It's gonna be a date-delete of the Barracuda.

What time should I set my alarm for? Does Hodinkee have a standard release time?

Sold out in less than 6 minutes. Only 100.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

Maybe it's just me or something to do with the photos, but this one looks cheap and a bit boring IMHO. Even the movement looks pretty blah. But it sold out in a heartbeat and will no doubt be flipped on the secondary market for a profit so

Yeah, I feel the same. If a microbrand came out with that design for $500 I would still pass.
