My first nice watch (also a big Bond fan). I want another one, but I want to try the new model.

BB58 for me:

I frequently think about flipping my PO2500D for a Non-AC Seamaster, but I haven't seen a mint/complete/unpolished one of those in a while.
This one isn't mint, but it's a complete set (save the outer white box), and I got it for less than $2k. Especially considering where Submariner prices have gone, these are a great deal for what you're getting.

Recently, before buying my 14060m, I looked around to see what you could get for about $10,000. I could have bought an IWC 3228, an IWC 3706, AND an Omega 2254 all in perfect/complete/unpolished condition.

I ended up with the Rolex because I don't need more watches that I sort of want (and require occasional service), but it's getting damn hard to justify Rolex prices.

It does look great. What canvas did you make the strap out of?

Beautiful weather and cooled down enough to enjoy a Birdsong Sunshine Gose outside with the GSD-3A on the wrist

I love this watch, the size and proportions, dial, heat blued hands and awesome acrylic dome Image looks so good on canvas.
