Redesigned Precista PRS-3?

Post by djh1201 » Mon Apr 15, 2019 5:15 am

Anyone handled one of these? Supposedly redesigned at a higher quality level, sized up to 42mm. Thoughts?

I had one of the LE models. It was a solid piece.

I owned a PRS-3 years ago, bought pre-owned. The original lume probably wasn't much to write home about, because the one I got had been relumed by Kent Parks. I believe it has always had a 42mm case.
No, it's not Tourettes.

Not a fan of the added side bevel.

Redesigned Precista PRS-3?

Seems like a decent deal to me. I like the slight upsize and the improved construction (screw in crown tube).

I wonder if it has drilled lugs?

Don't know anything about the new one but I had one of the original ones. As far as I recall it was a great watch and had decent lume. The only thing that I did not like was the black seconds hand and I replaced it with a white one. It was 42mm too.

I may ask Eddie if a can put down $200 now and pay the balance in 2028.

Yes on the Everest. I actually owned of them back when this happened and my watch did the same thing. WUS deleted the thread and Eddie would not warranty the watches. He said it was user error. It happened to at least 10 watches if I recall. We called the disappearing crystal.

And while you’re at it ask him if his prices are VAT inclusive and if he’ll be selling it VAT free for export?

Well, fuck him then. I was considering one of these but if that’s how he handles customer service, I want none of it.

If you read the watch site link above he basically told everyone to fuck off. And that he does not warranty crystals.

Not cool. I’ve owned a few of his pieces and liked them, but just as with Yao I won’t own another.
