Picked Up Another Haveston Strap

I prefer the Haveston double pass straps.

Unfortunately, they've moved on to single pass strap production.

I'm always on the look-out on the sales forums for the original version straps.

Latest arrival on the Great White.

Thanks for the heads up on the single pass. I did not realize they had made that change. I much prefer a single pass strap because I can put the buckle where I want and the watch doesn't sit up so high.

I'll probably pick up one or two to try out now..

Nice. I’m thinking of picking up one of their Speedy straps.

I have a couple too. Nice straps. Haven't tried the single pass yet though.

I like their double pass straps, specially on the Speedy. To bad they are moving away from them. The color combinations are amazing.

Totally agree, Joe.

I suggested they carry both single and double pass straps.

I can see what they are saying. That is double the stock essentially for the same strap minus a layer of nylon. That is why I sell mainly two layered nylon straps and then the customer can trim them. I do not trim the straps because I did this once and a customer decided he did not want the straps after I shipped them. So I had to find a buyer for one layered straps. :banghead:

What’s the benefit of the two layers?

With two layers the portion from the 6 o'clock lugs gets snugged down for a cleaner look.

(stitching at 12 o'clock lugs does the same thing)

I read some where the two layer design was so pilots could hang there watch on a hook on the headboard while sleeping. I do know on some watches that have way to much clearance between the spring bars and case do benefit from the 2 layered design. When taking your watch off the watch can not slip of the strap. I have had that happen once.
