Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.

While it’s cool tech to see a bending screen, I can’t figure out why anyone would want to carry that around in a pocket as their phone. It’s huge and bulky folded.

This ^^^they seem to always be a me too play bringing "innovation" to phones after other manufacturers already had them.

Someone with my limited dexterity would surely break that. And at $2,000...

Looks cool, though.

A grand for a phone was my “I’m outa here” moment. Even $500 or $600 seems like a lot for something that I’m going to drop on concrete and sit on.

Yeah that Fold is 2K which is silly
Also read that Motorola is releasing a Razr with a folded screen. I might try that since I still feel the foldable screen is the future. Just wait for Apple to come out with one, it'll be "revolutionary"

I haven't looked up the dimensions, but that definitely doesn't look like it's designed for one-handed operation.

Well, I don't have an XL pixel for that very reason. Unfolded this looks a hell of a lot longer than my standard Pixel.

I'm sure they'll dial in proportions. I personally used to carry a clamshell phone in my front pocket of pants/jeans. With a large phone i have to carry it in my back pocket and take it out when I get in the car. Would love to go back to the old ways. Plus the whole nostalgia of flip phones wins me over with this form factor :) Let's face it as a phone there was nothing more comfortable than a small clamshell

I'll be happy if they offer more full featured phones (unlocked for all networks) that aren't phablets. Until then, I'm hanging onto my 1st gen Pixel.
No, it's not Tourettes.

I still think my iPhone 8 Plus is plenty of screen. My laptop screen backlight is on the way out and I’ve thought of getting another iPad, but this thing is plenty large enough and capable enough for everything I do. I really don’t see the point for my use especially at this price, but I’m glad it exists for the sake of furthering mobile tech.

I saw on the news that quite a few of these folding Samsung's that were given to reviewers have had major screen problems within a couple of days use.

The news report I saw yesterday was about how these are breaking while on loan to tech reviewers.

i still sometimes search for this old b&o used, and fantasize about telling my work to f off...
it had the best audio quality of any mobile phone i've ever heard, and that used to be the primary use of the thing in your pocket (get off my lawn).

I love the idea and technology, but it is a beta test at best in current state. Will take another 1-2 generations for it to be ready for mass adoption (and this is clearly reflected in the price - it’s priced for early adopters). I bought one but returned it without opening after reading about the quality issues, i do look forward to a version with higher reliability and thinner bezel, though.
