I won't review the combat sub as such because I am sure it has been fully reviewed and is a well known watch.
It arrived it the usual Glycine box but the watch itself was completely vacuum packed to avoid exposure and so the bronze is fresh but already in 24 hours there is some patina forming.
Watch is 42mm but it wears large, this may be due to the bezel being slightly larger than case. Offered up to my Combat 6, it's about the same size. Although it wears large, it's quite thin for a dive watch, 200m, quite possibly my thinnest diver. As a result, it's easy to wear and will easily fit under a cuff. The bezel is very thin but grips easy and has a nice detail of extra ridge at 12 triangle making turning very easy. 120 clicks with zero play and perfect bezel alignment.
The case has very steep curved lugs, one of the main attractions for me and fits my 6.5 inch wrist very well. Case is very well made with sharp edges and brushed finish all over.
Crown is screw in and quite chunky compared to depth of case. Don't know what the crown is made of but does not quite match the bronze but hoping it will blend in soon enough.
Dial is very nice with applied indecies and the red seconds are a nice contrast. Dial itself looks sort of fade out from grey to black top to bottom but it varies depending on light or my eyes.
Lume is really good on this and even the date window frame is lumed, I don't think I have ever seen that before.
Caseback is solid with some nice engraving. The strap is good enough quality. It's a sailcloth finish with leather backing and quite thin. I reckon this watch will do well on a NATO. It has a bronze colour buckle which is stainless steel but a really good colour match.
This watch will be coming with on my weekend visit to see my dad this week.
Overall very happy to have added not just a Glycine to the collection but also a bronze watch.
