I love the percussion lock pic, Chris!

Best "tactical" pic of an Ares to date!

Y’all better believe that George Washington would have worn a D-1 to time his nocturnal excursions when he was fathering our country, if only the tool had been available to the man with the widest lat spread in the colonies.

It’s amazing to me, even having been the guy that designed and made the watch, that the bezel goes between fully detailed and ghost so easily. It’s a pretty cool characteristic I think.

Shots of a fairly rudimentary but totally effective thermo compensation test. That’s the DIVER-1 frozen 6 inches or so inside a cube of solid ice.

I used a flashlight to hit the bezel and face real quickly to get the lume shot. You can clearly see - I took a vid of it for IG - the seconds ticking away. It’s been in there for over 48 hours and keeping the same time with the DIVER-1 index model on my wrist.

Science.

Guess the only thing left is to see if it can survive Terry's flush test.

UPDATE for all of you DWC DIVER-1 purchasers....

I just got back from doing a QC trip prior to assembly and everything is good to go and on track.

Hands & dials all looked great and the cases finished bead blasting & were getting their individual serial numbers.

Straps are good and were halfway through engraving.

All the packaging and box goodies are here and ready to go.

So: we’re on schedule and on track!

Excellent news, Matt. Glad to hear that you didn't experience a 85-95% scrap rate on the hands like Yao

You are in NH too, correct?

I’m not certain Matt has any idea of the dumb shit things a couple NH guys could do to challenge his design paradigms.

For example, I was skiing today at Killington with -16°F temps (air temps. Less with windchill factored in) and that was just for fun.

Just wait until he sees us actually trying.

What’s the wind chill once you reach about 60mph?

I was out snowshoeing this morning with the dog, same temps. I could strap one onto the snowshoe. Just a start.

I can totally see that D bag drinking Champaign in fuzzy slippers and a velvet Robe and bending those hands whilst laughing. Wakes up the next morning with a hangover and a sore b hole and snaps a shot of them with the “85%-95%” story.
