Inside the Tudor Factory

Post by dnslater » Mon Nov 12, 2018 4:55 am

Been posted at a few other forums, but I thought worth a repost here. It sounds as if it is basically one factory with a Rolex side and Tudor side and some shared resources, but mostly separate manufacturing. I always wondered exactly how that worked. Also interesting that every watch gets a WR test before packaging:

While the article was mostly superficial, there were a couple of interesting takeaways. It stated that Tudor (and I assume Rolex) do not keep any inventory. Everything is always made to order. Also the bit about the custom weaving of the Tudor straps in France helps explain the price and why none of the Asian sources can replicate the weave.

Thanks for that! I think that the MKII factory would look and operate very similar to this... :puke:
