Should I?
Should I?
I don't *need* it...but always wanted to try one.
If I get it, I'll probably be bored in a month so anyone want dibs?

Re: Should I?
I am have been toying with that one as well, but I also saw he slashed the price on the more limited one as well. Had this and the 42mm Auto for a while, but don't have either right now. Great watch, but it is fairly big and wears big (much bigger than my 45mm BPFF), even though it is relatively light.
Re: Should I?
I'm on my second, so consider my bias pre-disclosed.
I agree with Rob, for it's size relative to other ti watches, it wears light, but large. The convex caseback (necessary for the alarm sound projection) adds to the already above average height, but imo, the diameter balances the height perfectly. In short, it wears larger than its specs would indicate, but very comfortably so. I see large watches in your sig, so no fear.
As far as value goes, I think that price is a steal with the ti bracelet. The watch doesn't seem as rare as production numbers would indicate; perhaps because they trade hands frequently. But it's not ubiquitous either, so seems to have held value steady now for a while, and most likely into the future.
I'll share an anecdote about the value to me, personally. I traded a fairly mint 116600 (after rumors of it being discontinued, just before the sd43 release) for my current (second) equally mint NSA that came with multiple OEM straps: the vented rubber; the leather/alcantara; articulated rubber bracelet (with the rubber bracelet clasp cover). This package was, and remains very attractive to me because it had all the strap alternatives I wanted and knew that I liked from previous experience, and I venture to say I would make that same trade again today, even with the values of each watch trending the way they are.

Re: Should I?
Oh wow Jon, if you can, then that definitely has to be a big yes !!!
Re: Should I?
also, if the rubber over ti bracelet is more to your liking, Keith (Alberta CAN Keith) has his listed on WUS.
if you buy the one on ti bracelet that you posted, i call dibs on the bracelet if you sell it

Re: Should I?
No way, I'm a bracelet guy more than anything.
I'd get it, but honestly I already know I'd never wear it. It would just sit in the box with everything else.

Re: Should I?
The bracelet is cool. Micro adjustments built into both sides of the clasp. PITA to size though.
Re: Should I?
I'm so upside down on mine sitting in the box after the service it's not even funny. This ad makes me cry
Re: Should I?
I like the articulated rubber, but not worth an extra $1300 IMO.

Re: Should I?
It's a great watch, probably the last real Diver zhezhe produced with securing the crowns.
But don't buy it if you're not gonna wear it, you won't even get 6500 for it on a trade/quick sale. Last time I asked David what he would give me for my NSA I got 5500 and that's with the recent service. If you buy it to keep then great, otherwise stay away from JLC all together.

Re: Should I?
after living with one for a while, I would pay that to get another if I had to.
that said, hopefully i've learned my lesson and don't have to say down the road that i'm on my third (unless an LE pops up).

Re: Should I?
Isn't the polaris alarm a $10K watch? This seems an easy choice.
Re: Should I?
It's a really cool, and dare say underrated, watch. Miss mine more than my BPFF.
Re: Should I?
Meh, I know I won't wear it. It's always been one of those watches I kinda-sorta liked and was interested to try, but anymore I'm spoiled with my AP and Rolexes. Nothing else ever gets worn other than my old Bond SMP when I'm doing stuff with the kids. Might as well put the money towards something more bigly.
