Gold Tuna and Fools Gold Tuna comparison
Re: Gold Tuna and Fools Gold Tuna comparison
alright guys, the gold really grew on me, i hated it at first now I really kind of love it.
Re: Gold Tuna and Fools Gold Tuna comparison
Bought one. Kohl's has it on sale for $288. Not bad. However, I am baller status at the moment when it comes to Kohl's as my cousin is a store manager so he hooked it up for $227 out the door. It's like a sore dick, you can't beat it!

It's weird, I like the silver version better but I don't like it on the bracelet so I wouldn't want to spend the premium for it

Here's the padi with a Yobokies SS shroud. Not for everyone, especially on the jubilee, but the watch is solid.

really happy i went with the gold
Re: Gold Tuna and Fools Gold Tuna comparison
do any of you guys with solar tunas have lines like these on the dial? at the right angle I can see these straight lines going out from the center of the dial to the 1 o'clock mark and one out near the 9 o'clock mark
i think it may have something to do with the solar receptors but I just want to make sure it is normal and not a crack forming

^^
Love it.
I bet you’re right about those lines having to do with the solar.
I really what to hear from someone whose had a 007 or 015 or 017 tuna to see if it really is a big difference in size/weight/comfort.
Love it.

Currently have both the 017 and Golden Solar. The solar is smaller, lighter, and definitely not as tall. I'm a fan, even with the shroud as is.BBK357 wrote:^^

Ok so I googled it.
Looks like it’s solar panels.

Here is a WuS post- it’s too long and stupid for me to waste my time on, and that’s after fighting the adds so I can actually see the pics. - dude thinks it’s a piece of crap because he “banged it on a doorway and saw the lines and it must be a cracked dial!”.
Seriously. So whacking a watch would result in a cracked dial? You should see how many people on that thread believe that.
THIS is what happens when you whack a watch too hard into a door frame:
But this sounds about right.

To have a solar movement you have to have the lines to charge it. My Centric watch has it also.

Re: Gold Tuna and Fools Gold Tuna comparison
Don’t know how I missed this watch when it was released but received mine a few days ago and at the $230 I paid, not sure there’s a better value out there.
Loved the SBBN015 when I owned it but it was just a bit too big and 3x the price of this one.
It’s perfect

I may have to try one at some point.
I also loved my SBBN015 Tuna, but it was just a bit too big, so I found I wasn't wearing it that much.

I miss having a SBBN015 but I think this is almost as nice for a lot less coin. This one has had my attention for awhile.

Man hearing that makes me want to jump on one. I love the gold in pictures but not sure how I’ll like it in real life. I’m leaning towards the SD and black shroud mode.
Do you think the gold looks too much when you’re wearing it? Or is it pretty under the radar?
I still love my 015. A solar would be a sidekick to it, not a replacement.

This one or my SBBN017 aren't going anywhere.

Dammit. Now I’m wanting one. I’ve never had gold on a watch but it looks good.

Owned the 015 twice. This wears slightly smaller and lighter, but not by much.
