I have a bug up my butt about acquiring some vintage JLC. looking for a history lesson. Any good books/ sites?

Just a warning. Many parts for older vintage JLC's are discontinued. If JLC has them. They won't sell them to you. You will have to send them the watch for them to check and then tell you the cost.
They wanted one time almost $700.00 for a movement ring and a dial for a watch that only sold in close to excellent condition at the time for $600 and they also wanted to service the movement which my watchmaker already did
Sold it for parts and never bought another
Don't buy a beater and make sure it's full cleaned, in working condition and keeping good time at about 10 seconds or less per day
