I like it. Not certain if I $1,000 like it, but it looks decent.
The challenge is I can get a very similar looking watch with the exact same movement and twice the water resistance for 50% of the price from Steinhart.

That logo/placement is a crime against humanity.
Re: Christopher Ward C65 Trident GMT
Decent looking for a 1655 homage, and I like that it isn't huge. The bezel is a bit too thin to my eye.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Trident GMT
I prefer the additional lume on the Steinhart for the 24 points. Also prefer the price. CW should have just made a Trident Pro with an actual full 24 hr bezel on the GMTs and ditch the part diver/part GMT bezel.

I like this. I assume it shares the same case as vintage bronze 65 previously, which would be good. Decent watch but still pricy.

I like the GMT look but I rarely use it. When I travel a regular diver or inexpensive world timer works so well.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Trident GMT
And yet another nice looking watch ruined by that dastardly logo. Good grief.
Re: Christopher Ward C65 Trident GMT
From a graphic design standpoint, they certainly make odd choices with the dial. Doxa does an offset logo/name but it is balanced with text in opposite corners. CW is all over the place, with Logo at 12, text at 6 and brand at 9. They might as well go ahead and use a white date wheel to balance the name.
Just odd choices. Close to being a very nice watch.

Serious question. Has anyone ever tried to talk to him?
He's got several nice watches that are practically ruined with his logo

Yes. It’s come up before when he does chats with the Christopher Ward forums.

IIRC, "we're selling well, our marketing company did a lot of research... blah blah blah..." supposedly they're happy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

wish it was a tad smaller, but looks great nonetheless

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Trident GMT
I like it a lot. The logo at 12 is pretty subtle. The brand name at 9 isn’t ideal but not that bad to me and sort of balances out with the date at 3. Cold be better yes, but i like it a lot. It’ll wear a lot better than the Steinhart gmt cAse too

And I agree on the 2 flag logo. They need to play that more.

Ahhhhhh...
Re: Christopher Ward C65 Trident GMT
Amazing how much those slight changes make a difference. That looks great. Despite the 1655 GMT hand, it's really not too much of a rip off watch overall.logan2z wrote:Ahhhhhh...
