Pelagos seems like a perfect watch for you, Paul.

Well that, and maybe one other cool, up and coming brand. :)

I actually tried the blue Pelagos once, even in real life I didn't like the color:

+1

I thought I wanted a blue Pelagos, went to try one. Blue fail, in all lighting conditions. With the right blue it could have been gorgeous. Not the right blue. Went for the black and love it to death (wall of text turned out to be fine for me).

If I ever bought one I'd probably go for a two-liner, but things like the 'wall of text' and other details that seem bothersome in macro shots posted to forums are rarely as bad in real life.

I sat next to a Doctor on a ten hour flight who was sporting a blue one. I don’t want to disparage the watch in case somebody has one on here, but let’s just say I thought the blue was :puke:

Oddly, on Watch Recon used prices have gone up.... 3 liners are now routinely going for to $3k. For a couple of years you could buy them used for $2500 all day long. I wonder if Rolex limiting sport watch supplies are impacting demand for the Pelagos? Maybe that is too much of a leap.

Brice and Paul should just buy a Pelagos, split the cost and pass it back and forth monthly ;)

2-liner is no doubt the best but I don't mind the 5 liner knowing how it would look in the flesh vs. a wrist shot, and having owned my fair share of sports Rolex with numerous lines, to include the SD4K and 16710 before the getting was good. :banghead:

I think I'll wait a little bit to see what the Tudor pepsi does in terms of overall reception once it floods the market, although I reckon it's still a tad too big, but might look great on a distressed blue canvas. I've listed the IWC here before, albeit without pics because I was out of town on the initial listing, and then talked myself down on pics I had promised... Here I am again talking myself down and I already took recent pics of the watch.

Part of me thinks the SBBS018 (the one Terry reviewed against the Solar Pyrite Tuna) will fill that bold diver niche.

Hey now! You’ve hurt my last feeling - I’ve only had two Pelagos

Actually, though, a better idea would be for my brother Brice to buy one and I could hold on to it for him during his “time off” phase...

Thanks in advance Brice! 🇫🇷
