Westworld?
I watched Westworld last year and enjoyed it.
I didn't realize there was a second season in the works.
I watched 1 1/2 episodes of the new season and lost interest.
Is it worth giving it another go?

Westworld?
I watched season 1. It was confusing.
I made it 15 minutes into season 2.

Yes. Gets a whole lot better. Less times jumps and more 'o shit that's why'(from the remaining time jumps)mattcantwin wrote:I watched Westworld last year and enjoyed it.

Re: Westworld?
I love the show Watching season 1 a second time with my wife after watching season 2 and it makes it even more interesting.
Re: Westworld?
Westworld is definitely one of the best shows on TV right now. Season 2 has been fantastic.

Re: Westworld?
I got bored with it. It was Jurassic Park meets Ex Machina...but really drawn out.
Re: Westworld?
The "drawn out" portion of it killed me for the first two episodes. I have the next few recorded, but haven't had the interest to watch yet. I'm sure I will finish it up at some point. I find the concept very interesting, I just wish I could watch it at 2x speed.
Re: Westworld?
One of the most complex shows I've watched...In some cases I've had to go online and read the recaps to truly understand. Sometimes hard to differentiate from the current, future, and past....with 3 more shows left to season 2, I expect it will come together...

The second season was at least as good as the first.

Re: Westworld?
Love the show, has watch Season 1 twice (second watching helped a lot).
The first two episodes of Season 2 are very confusing (you are watching three different points in time). It gets more linear afterwards. Worth it in my opinion.

Interesting to see the varying opinions...
I enjoyed season 1 much more than season 2 so far.

Re: Westworld?
I almost stopped watching season two, but after episode two it got good. I wouldn’t listen to anyone who hasn’t watched at least until the middle.
Re: Westworld?
This show seems to be one of the most polarizing in recent memory, and other reviews I've heard basically go the way this thread has gone.
It's either "one of the most complex and interesting shows I've ever seen," or "I just couldn't get into it (too boring; too confusing)."
I watched the pilot way back when. Didn't hate it, but it didn't grab my attention enough to keep watching (so I guess I'm in the second camp).

I’m convinced that a lot of people who say they love it have no idea what is going on and are ashamed to admit it.
No one here, of course.

Re: Westworld?
I tend not to like overly convoluted story-telling. You should be entertaining the listener more than you are trying to impress your writer and critic friends IMO.
If its necessarily complex, fair enough. But complexity that adds more work than value for the audience and results in half of them tuning out is a mistake. I think some writers confuse complexity with sophistication.

Watched the rest of Season 2.
Now, I'll watch some Westworld Finale Explained Videos to see how well I followed the story line(s).

Re: Westworld?
I looked for it on Amazon Prime video and it looks like it’s not available there yet unless you have HBO through Prime too.
