Rogue Echo Bike

That’s Rich Froning (CF’s best Games athlete ever), and he is 5’9” based on what Google says.

I am a little over 6’. The seat is very adjustable so you shouldn’t have any trouble.
Very short people are better off with an Assault Bike. My wife is 5’3” and isn’t as comfortable on the Echo.

I’m 6’3” and could use more room on the AB. Same state with shape- in single digits BF, I’m 215; I’m currently 250.

Re: Rogue Echo Bike
Haven’t read the thread, but congrats on the bike. Our box got one recently and it’s so much better than the concept bike

I would need to exchange 25lbs of fat for 25lbs of muscle and I’d still be far away.
When I was in the single digits body fat I weighed 165lbs
At 205lbs right now
My god do I suck

A bike is much easier on my knees than running.Ryeguy wrote:Hey Andrea - $160.... just sayin'Seppia wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 4:22 amI wish LOLmikeylacroix wrote:Andrea froning otwSoCal C4S wrote:That’s Rich Froning (CF’s best Games athlete ever), and he is 5’9” based on what Google says.

Don’t suggest walking as a substitute. That’s just dreadful.

Re: Rogue Echo Bike
I love walking. It’s just hard to walk an hour a day.
Re: Rogue Echo Bike
I'm just busting Andrea's balls a bit, Chris. I'm turning 47 this year and I'm a lot more careful now with how I run (bio mechanics) and rest days to keep my knees together. I only run about 25 miles per week.
To make a more honest point to Andrea, I would just not let the lack of equipment be an excuse to not work out. If you are physically able to go for a jog, invest in a decent pair of shoes and go run.
I travel a lot for work and running is one of the few exercise routines I can consistently do regardless of location. I've run through Geneva a bunch, London, Ghent, and probably a dozen other European cities, not to mention the US locations. There is always room in my bag for sneakers.
I also think of it this way - when I go to the gym and look into the cardio theater, I see many, many, obese people on stationary bikes and elliptical machines. How many obese people do you ever see out on the running trails? Running sucks, but it works.
IMO (and I'm just some random guy, not an expert at all), you can drop weight and see significant improvements with just running, body weight exercises (chin ups, push ups, etc.) and a healthy diet.

Re: Rogue Echo Bike
Don't underestimate the benefits of walking though. My wife and I went to the gym 4-5 days a week up until December 2012 when we got a puppy. Decided we couldn't be gone as much so decided to work out at home and bought a treadmill.
That didn't go quite as planned as daily long dog walks took over. My point is my now 80 lb Golden Retriever doesn't do heat well, so I've been hitting the treadmill again, and was surprised after less than a week I could do an 8 1/2 minute mile pace like I used to.
That plus hand weights, planks, push ups, etc, and it keeps my soon to be 59 year young body in decent shape. Not to mention the stress relief factor.

Re: Rogue Echo Bike
Chris, I have a bad knee also, so I can't run. If you ever get bored of the bike, an elliptical is easy on the joints too. I vary between the elliptical, bike, and walking. I don't think I'd ever walk in Florida though.CGSshorty wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 10:57 amA bike is much easier on my knees than running.Ryeguy wrote:Hey Andrea - $160.... just sayin'Seppia wrote: ↑Tue May 29, 2018 4:22 amI wish LOLmikeylacroix wrote:Andrea froning otwSoCal C4S wrote:That’s Rich Froning (CF’s best Games athlete ever), and he is 5’9” based on what Google says.

We had an elliptical in NY. I got bored of it very quickly.
