What about sewn on buttons on the inside of the strap? That's a "good idea" isn't it?

All of the big groups diversify like this. Swatch Group has Flik Flak, Balmain and CK Watch, LVMH has Hublot :)

I saw that and chuckled. Does that mean you could use women's bathroom wearing that watch?

I like the limited packaging, made to order, sustainable materials, and low price point angles. The made to order means no crap models waiting around in a store or warehouse shelf potentially going to waste later. Add in that I can design my own for $600-$1000 and it will be delivered faster than Yao could finish QCing a batch of hands and it’s not a bad value proposition.

You don’t need a watch to do that, you just need to identify that way in that moment. “Gender fluidity”. Think Adam with his big handbag, but with beard.

If you feel like standing to pee = mens room.

If you feel like sitting = ladies room.

If you need to drop a deuce = Starbucks.

There’s that, but do you think that will appeal to watch buyers? My thought is that the average person buying a watch in this range will go either smart watch or buy an entry level Tag quartz. I’m sure the name would help sell them if Baume & Mercier were as popular and recognizable as Tag is. I would think most here would likely buy a Tag Heuer over Baume & Mercier as well, with a few rare cases for models. I’m not sure this watch appeals to people like us either style wise.

True - we are a different bread. If they market it in stores with an iPad where people could configure it with sales associate help, it might be a hit. Making people find it on the net - that'll be a harder sell.

Certainly not for me.

Unless there’s a “build your watch” kiosk at your nearby Whole Foods im not sure how it will gain any traction. On the plus side it would be the cheapest thing going at Whole Foods

Only part of the buzzword puzzle they're missing is "for every watch purchased, we'll donate one to children in need of a watch".
