Watch pod has landed.
I saw Don review this on his YouTube channel and thought it looked like a great solution for like 12 bucks. Very high quality and tough exterior with solid zipper and all in all great protection for a watch. It also came with a microfiber cloth. They also make a 3 watch version as I recall.
Thx Don for putting this on my radar through your video.

Yeah not sure as I've never seen one. It's built like a tank though for sure.

Yup, looks like a cheaper alternative to the Oakley one that I have - think it was around $20 but not positive. These days, I use Terry’s watch roll more than nothing else I have.
Re: Watch pod has landed.
I use an Oakley every day. This looks like a good alternative since those are difficult to get.

It's built like a brick shithouse. Thx Don I enjoy your vids. I always check them out even when for brands I'm not interested in. I always learn something.
Re: Watch pod has landed.
I don't like laying bracelet watches flat which can cause scratching. OCD I know, but these are perfect.

I don’t know about the internal movement.
That’d concern me.

I have a bunch of the Oakley cases just like this and I love them!

I've got a handful of a cheaper version. That version looks much nicer.

Re: Watch pod has landed.
Strap watches don't move around at all that I see. Also there is a bump in the middle of both side keeping the watch from flying around in there.

Yeah I'll give it it's maiden voyage when I head to Dallas tomorrow.

Re: Watch pod has landed.
I put a folded handkerchief in my Oakley to stop internal movement. I also have some casebudis that work just as well but aren’t quite the same quality as the Oakley.Dedalus wrote:I don’t know about the internal movement.

I keep an empty one in my backpack and put my watch in it to go through airports, I don’t like my watches loose in the tray.
Whilst the three watch one looks interesting it’s kinda big for what it’s trying to achieve.
Re: Watch pod has landed.
Nice. I just placed an order for a Watch Pod. It looks like a good compact solution for a single watch.

On it's maiden voyage here in Dallas today it worked well. Even though a smaller watch on bracelet may shift a bit inside it doesn't move from being secured around the center cones. In other words it can break loose and flop around I side the case.

Can't - nobody thinks it could. The watch can bounce around inside the case though, which puts a shock on the movement.ericf4 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:59 amOn it's maiden voyage here in Dallas today it worked well. Also as mentioned strap watches seem not to move at all while bracelet watches with floppy bracelet do move around a bit.

Looks very much like the Oakley watch vault. I always check the Oakley outlet malls to see if they have the watch vaults. I often get lucky but it been a while.
