This is Rolex we’re talking about. It can’t be that simple.

You can fit a solid oyster to a 16610. You can fit the 1.8mm super jubilee to a 16710. I'd be shocked if this one didn't work as well.

GETTING it is the problem, not fit.

Not sure about that one. Looks nice, but the historical inaccuracy bugs me. At least it doesn't have waves in the dial that look like they were made by a junky with a safety pin.

same here i think the bezel colors are what kills it for me, not really red, not really blue.....almost pinkish and lavender looking in the Real world pic Pat posted....like an easter theme,,,,,lol

Someone on one of the other forums mentioned something about the old James Cameron version becoming more collectible due to some change. I'm not sure if it was BS. I looked on the website and didn't see anything obviously different.

Also, the craptastic hidden jubilee clasp on the 36mm DJ has been replaced.

Hopefully it's the effect of display lights. Most bold colors look wierd in those lights

I was hoping to see something new and different, but it seems that most watch manufacturers are content to make incremental updates to or release additional variations of existing models. Disappointed. I don't see anything in these Basel threads that compels me to open my wallet.
