Looks great, is it much taller than the older model?hoppyjr wrote:I could “one-watch” this PO, but I won’t. As much as I’ve liked the 2500 & 8500 models, this 8900 is next level in all aspects.

It’s almost identical to the 2500 series and shorter than the 8500. The visual difference between this one and the 2500 is the 2500 has a slimmer mid case and more pronounced case back whereas this 8900 is a thicker mid case and almost flat case back. It wears great.james80 wrote:Looks great, is it much taller than the older model?hoppyjr wrote:I could “one-watch” this PO, but I won’t. I’ve owned more 2500’s than I can even remember and several 8500’s but the 8900 takes the cake.
I’d still grab another 2500 to have around if I found one I liked, but this is my favorite.

Had it for 5 minutes so no pics..
Had to steal this one from Arts Sales post.

Thinking of doing the same for mine. Since it's supposedly the same as the Tuna bracelet it should be solid and comfortable, but what's your thoughts?Ryeguy wrote:Put the SBDC053 on one of those EBay bracelets. I think it looks pretty good, but ironically, after wearing the bracelet I feel this is more of a rubber strap watch.

^^^ I'll post up some more detailed photos in the SBDC thread. This way they won't get lost in a random WRUW thread.

Got the 6rmas on me today.
Re: WRUW 02 09 18 Friday
thanks all!
these two, even though i've only been wearing both for the day, are easily both new favorites in the stable. i was concerned that the 1.1 may be too large for me, and didn't commit immediately because of that, and i was a bit disappointed they chose not to do it in ti, but it wears incredibly balanced. larger diameter compensates for the height, and there's less floppage than with the ezm 1, even with the extra weight of the teg steel case.
assumed the seiko would be a good size fit for me, and it is indeed perfect. seiko really nailed every detail on this one. i'm blown away by the fit and finish in the metal.
rob, as for choosing a favorite, i'd say they plug very different holes in the collection, and i love them both equally for what they both do so exceedingly well. they will certainly displace others in the collection in their respective genres.
pieces will be listed soon due to the arrival of these two.
have a great weekend all
