Breitling Service Needed
Breitling Service Needed
Hey guys,
I want to send my wife’s Breitling in for service and brushing/polishing.
Do you all use anyone in particular, and if you use Breitling, who has good contact info for where I would send it?
Thanks in advance!
RJ

Cool thing about B’ling is they list their service prices right on the site and from what I’ve read, they don’t tack on BS upcharges - they stick to their pricing sheet.

Re: Breitling Service Needed
I had excellent results with Breitling USA service. Two Aerospaces and a B-1 went in December, all three back in January, no problems, no issues, no upcharges. Plus 1 year warranty on the work.
Gray Aerospace - Battery, seals, maintenance service.
Blue Aerospace - Battery, seals, maintenance service, and a nice refinish. Looks new
B-1 - Full overhaul, includes refinish, looks nearly brand new

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

What was the price on your battery, seals and refinish? Wanting to have the same done to my wife’s Colt. I just got her a bracelet that I either want to have the case brushed to match, or the bracelet matched to the case.

Per the price list, it should be $110 for the service on quartz analog, plus, I think it was $100 to refinish the Aerospace. I thought it was pretty fair all things considered.
ETA: add $30 for return shipping in their nifty service case.

If that is all it costs, I need to just go that route.

Re: Breitling Service Needed
If you have an Aerospace, you should use busa. The movements are finicky and can be destroyed if the battery is improperly taken out. I had ABC watch works do a battery change on one and they ended up breaking the movement. Busa is very affordable for quartz models, so you're better off using them. Their auto prices can be steep, but it'll come back like new.SoCal C4S wrote:If that is all it costs, I need to just go that route.

She has an Aerospace, but it is good to go and was recently serviced.
I’m wanting to have her Colt quartz serviced, and case or bracelet finish-matched.
Just need to drop in on an AD this weekend and have it sent off.

Why not cut out the middleman and send yourself?

Once he posted that I went back to your post. I’ll probably send hers in for a full service. At least it will come back good as new, and everything looking perfect.

Just found the invoice on the blue Aerospace. Refininsh was $180, not $100. Still worth it, I think. Looks like brand new.

Re: Breitling Service Needed
I did. If memory serves me correctly, they'll email you a work order to place in the box. Make sure to get a signature and take some pics before it goes out in case they screw something up (which I don't will happen).SoCal C4S wrote:Interesting. Do I call then send it in? Service rookie here...

Re: Breitling Service Needed
Both times I've sent a Breitling in I got the info from their site and sent it myself.r.palace wrote:Cool thing about B’ling is they list their service prices right on the site and from what I’ve read, they don’t tack on BS upcharges - they stick to their pricing sheet.
