Millican backpacks

Post by toxicavenger » Sat Jan 27, 2018 8:27 pm

I don't need a backpack but I saw this company referred to someone somewhere else. They make me rethink my purchase of a Mystery Ranch bag I just got. Check them out https://www.homeofmillican.com/collections/rucksacks

Looks like a supremely well made pack. I’ve been looking at similar designs lately, but I’m hesitant. This looks a lot like a big version of the ‘backpack purses’ I see women carrying. Or are the purses a micro version of the rucksack?Image

Much cheaper version

I dig it. The one fail many roll tops have is being too short to actually complete the roll.

Filson just had a sale. Not sure if it’s still on but, they had a few bags that were similar and I know their quality is great.

I don't even think my wife would use that.

That strap between the two pouches at least makes the Murse say I like titty fucking.

Love those roll tops. The traditional climbing sac design is beautiful in its simplicity and functionality.

Holy crap, those big roll top rucks look cool. Might be just the thing for a lightweight dilletante like me. Thanks, T!

Urban Assault 21L. I like the design of the zippers but it doesn't have any external carrying pouches (water bottles etc) and it is super narrow. It is weird actually. Because the construction is great, but it is the skin jeans of the backpack world. :banghead:

This is the Millican I like though.

Those are both great looking packs. How do you like the mystery ranch bag?

I wouldn't re-buy it as a backpack to carry my lunch and laptop. It is to narrow.

Thanks for the info. Have you tried TNF Surge? I’ve had good luck with them.

I'm wary of anything with leather shoulder straps. Look great, wears horrible.

I have a really nice looking Filson pack that was the single most uncomfortable thing I have worn on my body. It would be more comfortable to be put in an iron maiden, looks fantastic though!

Huckberry had those on sale recently and I stupidly didn't but it. Lmk if you want to sell. I've been looking for a bag replacement for daily duty.
