Dagaz Diamondback
Dagaz Diamondback
Jake is now making a new 200m case that will take all of his dials/hands and any Seiko movement. It's his way to stay relevant if Seiko discontinues the SKX007. Hundreds of possibilities.
Case might be a little thick, but it's only 40mm x 47.7mm so it should fit great. Nice 8.5mm crown.
Flat, double-dome, or thick dome sapphires.

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
I like it! That said, I wish the lugs were drilled through.
Re: Dagaz Diamondback
Profile shots aren't its strongest photo angle, that's for certain!
I think it is a really interesting business idea and perfect for the modding community.
Does Jake offer an "assembly service" or is it up to the customer to buy the kit they wish and have the watch assembled locally?
*edit* just read through the article and it appears Jake will assemble the build for you.

I’m surprised he doesn’t just focus on parts for the NAFTs.

This one you have to buy fully assembled. Not selling kits.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 10:15 amProfile shots aren't its strongest photo angle, that's for certain!

I like it, though it is needlessly thick. The crown looks too big as well.
Re: Dagaz Diamondback
I was hoping he would just sell the case. I have a spare movement sitting in the watch box.

Just perfect for a Black Bay homage without the stupid colored crown tube.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2018 10:43 amI like it, though it is needlessly thick. The crown looks too big as well.

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
I like the fat chamfer and no crown guard. The mid case is a better diameter than the BB to me. I wish people were more ok 12-13mm divers. There's no reason why a 200mm watch should be 15mm.

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
Nice looking, but thick. Hope he regulates the ones with the 6r15's or they could be like a box of chocolate.
Re: Dagaz Diamondback
I like the case a lot
Price from 300 to $600 depending on what you choose... I’m sure I’ll be buying on at some point.

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
Maybe the specs is including a super dome crystal?

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
It’s 15.5 with a dome crystal. That’s not too bad. Still with a look

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
Regarding the thickness, this is watch is the exact same thickness as a 16600, although the Rolex is less slab sided and has more of the thickness in the caseback.

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
And in reality it could have easily been as thick as a 16710. Owning both, I know which wears better.

Re: Dagaz Diamondback
I'm pretty sure the SD is only 14.8. I know that is close, but I never bond with anything over 15.
Re: Dagaz Diamondback
There's no reason why a watch with 300-m WR should be 15 mm.
Re: Dagaz Diamondback
Whoops. You are correct. It is SD4k that is 15.5.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 8:22 amI'm pretty sure the SD is only 14.8. I know that is close, but I never bond with anything over 15.
