Dagaz Diamondback

Post by pbj204 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 10:06 am

Jake is now making a new 200m case that will take all of his dials/hands and any Seiko movement. It's his way to stay relevant if Seiko discontinues the SKX007. Hundreds of possibilities.

Case might be a little thick, but it's only 40mm x 47.7mm so it should fit great. Nice 8.5mm crown.

Flat, double-dome, or thick dome sapphires.

I like it! That said, I wish the lugs were drilled through.

Profile shots aren't its strongest photo angle, that's for certain!

I think it is a really interesting business idea and perfect for the modding community.

Does Jake offer an "assembly service" or is it up to the customer to buy the kit they wish and have the watch assembled locally?

*edit* just read through the article and it appears Jake will assemble the build for you.

I’m surprised he doesn’t just focus on parts for the NAFTs.

This one you have to buy fully assembled. Not selling kits.

I like it, though it is needlessly thick. The crown looks too big as well.

I was hoping he would just sell the case. I have a spare movement sitting in the watch box.

Just perfect for a Black Bay homage without the stupid colored crown tube.

I like the fat chamfer and no crown guard. The mid case is a better diameter than the BB to me. I wish people were more ok 12-13mm divers. There's no reason why a 200mm watch should be 15mm.

Nice looking, but thick. Hope he regulates the ones with the 6r15's or they could be like a box of chocolate.

I like the case a lot

Price from 300 to $600 depending on what you choose... I’m sure I’ll be buying on at some point.

It’s 15.5 with a dome crystal. That’s not too bad. Still with a look

Regarding the thickness, this is watch is the exact same thickness as a 16600, although the Rolex is less slab sided and has more of the thickness in the caseback.

And in reality it could have easily been as thick as a 16710. Owning both, I know which wears better.

I'm pretty sure the SD is only 14.8. I know that is close, but I never bond with anything over 15.
