BLANCPAIN X71
Not sure where to put this, but there is a BPFF for sale right now listed in multiple places that I am curious about.
It is listed as a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms with “extra X71 bracelet”, which is the above photo.
Since I’m a fan of BPFF’s I gave it a look. Why is my X71 bracelet different? Here’s my pic from this morning, where the clasp is actually two pieces, JB 1735 and Blancpain, then the half-link extensions go out from there.
Any aficionados have an opinion? I know there are “smaller” X71’s for their smaller case watches, but then that wouldn’t be shown on the FF. Hmm. What say you?

Re: BLANCPAIN X71
yours is the older one, mine is like the one in the pic, the new version. It has the butterfly clasp with the extra clasp that folds across the gap where the 2 halves of the bracelet meet.
Re: BLANCPAIN X71
I don't know anything about the bracelet, but I do know you need a third BPFF.

I may have to pop in to the boutique and check that out.

BPFF and the homage/but making it your own are great looks but they have to dive well too. I like my Helson but it’s definitely not the mother ship.
The original is the grail of divers, at least IMO.
Of course I’m not a big Rolex fan at all.

I’m not even sure if that is spam and needs to be deleted. What the fuck did he say?

Can you imagine how awesome of a read it would be if River Rat was doing transcription of this guy speaking?

Helson definitely isn't anyone's mothership.
