Any fat bikers in the group?
Sure I know where some of you guy’s minds went so just to head it off...I’m a double fat biker - fat dude on a fat bike.
Today I was out rolling a fatty and now I’m tired and ready crash on the couch.

Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.

Nope. With the Salsa Vaya, I can't decide if I want to go road bike or mountain bike next year. Looks fun!!!

I’m still riding my 1994 Cannondale. I really should get something new.

LOL. They are Ergon grips with built in stubby bar ends, and I’ve been using them for years on my bikes but just went to ODI lock ons on my XC bike and need to order some for the fatty.apnk wrote:I was going to say sweet bike until I saw the bar ends haha. Just kidding sweet bike dude!!

It needs a lot of work. I just ride it around the neighborhood with my kids.

Looks like a good time. I just upgraded my midfat to a Stache 9. Really fun bike to ride.

Nice! I’m considering buying a set of 29+ tires/rims for my fat bike for summer riding.greenlightning wrote:Looks like a good time. I just upgraded my midfat to a Stache 9. Really fun bike to ride.

My 29er wishes I never bought the Big Jon lol. I never ride it anymore. I should sell it and do the same for street riding with my kids.BacoNoir wrote:Nice! Fully rigid mountain bikes are what I rode from '87-'94. The fat bike is what I dreamed of back then. Frankly, I like a rigid fork and 4 8" tires inflated properly does the right amount of damping for my taste

Re: Any fat bikers in the group?
As much as I like riding Singletrack, I might do more bikepacking next year on my Surly. Maybe even switch to Moloko Bars, sorta like the Jones.

Re: Any fat bikers in the group?
I'm with Erik. Rigid was my ride up until '94 or so. I rode rigid frames bikes down VT ski hills in those days. I remember my hands being numb at the end of the day.
I appreciate a little suspension today....
