I like it, but then again I am a sucker for mil-sub homages. $500 with an ETA 2824-2 seems like a decent price point.

Not on my list as I have others that scratch this itch, but seems like a decent option for someone looking for this style.

I had the 42mm and enjoyed it quite a lot, ultimately sold it because of the size. Guess I'll need to try this one

I like it at 39mm.

Something about this “wrist” shot doesn’t look right. Looks more like the arm of a chair.

Same here. This seems like a good choice.

I've always wanted to do a Hoppy (wait for it) and get a Sub, sans bracelet, to wear exclusively on a nato. With this I'll be able to know if I can do that or if I would want to get the bracelet for the Sub too. Pictures when I get it.

You should. For anyone looking, here's a nice one.

You won't need it. It's perfect.

It looks like a man holding the wrist of an anorexic girl.

Was having a hard time getting a handle on the size of this thing, so appropriate to the 14060 reference above, a guy on WUS just posted some good side by sides of the Steinhart 39 and a 14060 - I was wondering how these would compare. I'm thinking this might be a good on a strap pickup (until I can get a 14060 again of course!)

Funny that from above the lug to lug of the Steinhart looks longer, but not so on the profile/side shots.

Great comparison, thanks for posting. Thats my plan, to eventually get a 14060 or 14060M for nato wear.

I had one of the original Steinhart/Debaufre's in 39mm and I really liked it. I wish the caseback was flatter though.

Pictures suck, but the size works great. Very comfortable watch for nato wear. There is some play in the bezel, but besides that I like it. If you like milsubs, this is a good buy.

Looks good Joe, and thanks for the further comparison pics. Funny I read a sales listing that mentioned some bezel play that said that this "normal" for these ... seems to be a thing for some reason.

Solid Joe! I had the 42mm, and I don't recall bezel play.

Thanks guys! I also had a 42mm and don’t remember it having bezel play. Its not a lot and the bezel lines with the dial, so its a non-issue for me. This case also has long lugs (basically same length as the Speedy which is 42), but wears nice.
