it definitely is, chris. almost a little purple. but like most blues, it definitely varies in the light. can look almost black at times. i really want to get home and put it next to the seaforth.

the more i look at it in the light, the more i like it. the dial is a little matte, so the reflection on the markers really jumps out. i'm sure i'll have some fun photographing this.
the bracelet is pretty light. it's well made and comfy, but not a heavy presence like most solid bracelets. it feels appropriate for the 556, which is fairly thin (11mm). butterfly clasp. took out two full links and it fits my 7.25 wrist well. and i think the style fits the watch better than the H link, which would probably wear heavier.
