Congratulations, T. Those seem to be a fantastic buy pre-owned.

Re: New family car
It is super nice.
They are a total sleeper. I honestly haven't driven something this much fun in a long time.
I totally agree, that is why I said it had to be a V-8.
Don't wait to long Dave!
Thanks Hugh
I think they brought out this model to go against the Mercedes S500. But I might be wrong on that. The Genesis I think first came out in 09'. The newer version is super nice. But I can't pay new prices for anything.
Maybe
I think you were taking pics. I told the guys at the table but most of them tuned in one Igor started talking about his NSX.

My thought exactly. Bad ass ride but dude be careful in the winter. Get you some Blizzacks.streetracer101 wrote:Oh. You're ballsy T. AWD only for a daily in Colorado for me.DoctorC wrote:Nope.. Re: New family car
Ralph, I have been looking at these cars for 4 years, I finally got one. Super impressed with it every time I get to drive it.r.palace wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:13 pmDefinitely a congrats, T-bird. A personal favorite of mine.
I drove a 2016 3.8 rental last year for a week and while not as fun as the V8, I'm sure, it was still fun to drive and looked great. I've been seriously considering one of these when my lease expires next year
Thanks Steve, also thanks for your input!!
Funny Mike, every person my wife has taken for a ride in it at her work has the same disbelief. It is a great ride.
Thanks bro!
Thanks G!
Thanks Eric
They actually had a dark gray but it wasn't a V-8 and it didn't have the R-Spec package. Oh and it was 7k more since it was an 2015 model.
Thanks pimp!
So true. Thanks bro
Go for it.
Not awd drive but I hate buying tires. So no burnouts for me.
You know how I roll brother
Right
Thanks
They really are Chris.
Totally
Honestly I have lived in Colorado since 02' and I have only owned AWD vehicles for a total of 3 years here. Most of them have always been front wheel drive. The key is aggressive winter tires. So I will do the same with this car.HapaHapa wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 7:52 pmMy thought exactly. Bad ass ride but dude be careful in the winter. Get you some Blizzacks.streetracer101 wrote:Oh. Re: New family car
I haven't had time to takes pics of it during the day yet (since daylight savings time) but here is a few I took tonight. I have to say the only thing I would change about the car is a sport exhaust. But then it would probably have some highway drone to it. So I might do something at a later date to it but not right now. This thing has a ton of leg room in the back and the front. Not to mention the trunk is crazy huge (dead hookers maybe???).

I love the Genesis
Re: New family car
Assume you will be picking up snow tires for this? Otherwise RWD high power sedan + Colorado sounds like fun.

We run snow tires on all of the cars we own. So this one will get them also.

Damn T, that's a sharp looking Hyundai....which I never thought I would say. That rivals most of the 'sport sedans' out there...What's MPG on these?

Re: New family car
So far 19-28 it seems. But this car likes to move, it doesn't want to be driven lightly.

Re: New family car
If you want to change the exhaust, check out Borla. I have a catback system on my V6 Accord and it sounds really nice, no drone on the highway. Close to a G35 sound.

Stock exhaust on my coupe but I've got an intake on it and that's got plenty growl

Thanks for the info. I have to do some other things to it first but the exhaust is on the list for sure.
