I hear you. But in this case, the differences are all the reasons I’m drawn to it. Let’s face it, in either case...they are cheap fun.

Tradition.

We seem to always introduce hand-made items that glow in the dark to Japan first.

I like it a lot. I also like the new Vietnam re-issue Timex's also. http://www.timex.com/acadia/TW2R75000LG ... ns#start=1

I just cruised their site. I don't know if my taste has changed for cheap watches, or if I am just tired of how obnoxious the big brand watches have become, but there are a few Timex watches I'd own. It's too bad that all their cases seem to be resin and they only come with quartz movements. I still might pick on up as a mtn bike beater. Good find

I dig this these:

this isn't bad either:

A lighter shade of color for the font/hands/date wheel would've been preferred, but at least they all match. How sad is it that a watch under $100 can get that right, but a $4k IWC can't?

For those interested, the model of the Hammy in question is H69429931. My supplier says he'll have them next month for around $450. I plan to snag an extra or two if anyone wants.

Prefer the real deal, although small by today's standards.

I like this Timex (Todd Snyder) that I picked up a while back. I threw it on a TN and good to go!

I think it's $138 and 25%off.

Really digging this. Nice size, clean dial. I know I'm in the minority when I say I'd prefer it have a date function, but I just love how handy it is.

This seems to be a very cool watch, anyone know the RRP, and when it will come to the EU/US?
If Hamilton is listening - you should definitely make this in 41mm with a big triangle at 12. !

There is already a date version in the same case. It's shown earlier in the thread. Mine will probably be for sale soon since I've ordered the no date version, although I'm honestly tempted to just keep both. I've gotten used to having a date too, but for a reissue no date was the way to go. IMO.
