German Military issued Junghans Bund
German Military issued Junghans Bund
The price was right been wanting one of these for a while Junghans issued bund I now have three issued Bunds in the collection. Did not notice this until I paid and it was in the mail it has the wrong minute repeater hand looks like one off a Hanhart. The seller said he would refund the money since I notice that. But it don't look bad and I know some one in Germany that mite get me another hand just waiting to see if he can get one. King of over did it the last two months with watches and clocks. It's really a nice size watch not to big or to small just right. It's one military watch that seems to be under the radar were the price stays low but that can change fast in this hobby.

Another nice Mil vintage.
"We'd better synchronize our watches."
Re: German Military issued Junghans Bund
Just got it back today from service matter of fact got two back also had the WW1 Zenith US Army signal corps wristlet service along with it. The watchmaker also did some touch up work on the bezel ring and sweep hand. Looks a lot better. This is really a cool watch.

Nice watch. Love the vintage vibe.
Watch collector since 1989
Re: German Military issued Junghans Bund
When these were newly issued they came with a issued Kiefer SS Expandro bracelet. See link it's in German but photo's tells the story.

Well the issued ones are like finding Hens teeth so picked up this civilian one on Fleabay for cheap 24 bucks should get it this or next week coming from Canada.
Since it's 19.3 mm the ends I will have to file it down a little to fit since these bunds are 19 mm the bracelet must be for a 20mm watch.
A better photo of it since these watches are so hard to take a good photo of looks better after the service.

A cool photo with a German Pilot wearing a Kiefer SS Expandro bracelet looks like it's on a Hanhart 417 so I bought a second one for my Hanhart it don't look bad won't have to file it down to fit on that one.

Re: German Military issued Junghans Bund
Mite be a slower year last year I kind of over did it 3 more military watches and 3 Military clocks. This year mite try to save some money for doing some traveling and getting a few watches serviced. And I nocked off two things I wanted for a while the Junghans and a RAF clock all the others were stuff you never see and the price was right so I pulled the trigger and got them for a fair price. And getting any thing for a fair price is getting impossible these days so enjoying what I got and cooling it this new year. There is one thing that's been on the back burner a Marine Naval Chronometer with Fusee movement in a gimbal wooden box a older one but I am cheap that I mite put off another year unless I find one for a fair price.
Re: German Military issued Junghans Bund
Well got the bracelet last week but was away from MT for a few days. So picked it up at the post office and filed the ends to fit the Junghans Bund.

Re: German Military issued Junghans Bund
nice photo, it looks good on the bracelet: there's a lot of stories about Junghans and WW2.
