Monta Triumph!
Hey guys I got to try out the Monta Triumph at Wind Up and it was a great piece. So much so that it stole the show for a ton of people. The fit and finish was perfect on it and the bracelet was excellent. Heck I was so smitten with it I place a pre-order for it as soon as I got back home. It comes in a blue dial, gray (red text) and a black dial. Not to mention the owner was super open to talk show about where it is all made. He is going to Switzerland next week for the final qc/launch of the pre-orders. So they should be arriving the middle of them month I think.
I will post some pics of it that other people took that were better than the ones I took.
If all of the models of this watch had red text I wouldn't have been able to choose which one to get.

They are but I don't think it will be out any time soon. Here is a really bad pic I took of it.Aaron Shapiro wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2017 7:59 amNice. Aren’t they doing a GMT soon also??

I don't find the non-gmt version particularly compelling. Could just not photograph well.

Re: Monta Triumph!
Are you talking about the diver? In person it was great. I wasn't a fan of the blue though for myself but it matches unlike what Pelagos did. My only issue with the divers was the long crown. But after some conversations with them I wouldn't be surprised if that changes. Also at the price point they are at now they are worth it imo.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2017 8:07 amI don't find the non-gmt version particularly compelling. Could just not photograph well.

I was talking about the Triumph. Looks a bit off to me. That gmt looks nicer though.

Re: Monta Triumph!
Oh okay. I was wanting an E2 pretty bad this watch definitely fit the bill. There wasn't anything I could find I would change about the gray dial version honestly.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2017 8:15 amI was talking about the Triumph. Looks a bit off to me. That gmt looks nicer though.

Re: Monta Triumph!
I really like the grey dial and the price isn’t bad. Would look great on a Toxic Shiznit
Re: Monta Triumph!
I want a green one. They look much better in person than any photo I’ve seen.

I like gray or silver dial...
Re: Monta Triumph!
Triumph looks OK, but I would've kept the Arabics off, and all the hands need to be longer

Re: Monta Triumph!
The hands photograph crappy. All I could think about is their "best hand maker in the world" BS. Maybe it's nice in person, but it's definitely nothing special in pictures.

Honestly I have said the same thing about the hands. But it does not translate in pics, they look great in person. And my pics will never translate that either.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2017 2:12 pmThe hands photograph crappy. All I could think about is their "best hand maker in the world" BS. Re: Monta Triumph!
I admit I like the original diver, especially at the lower price point. I dig the onion crown.

Re: Monta Triumph!
The owner of Monta told me after they lowered the price they sent refunds to the original buyers at the higher price also.
I don't hate the crown in person since it is super easy to use I just don't think it should be as tall.

I heard Minta is great value for money and had spectacular resale value of .05 paso to the American doll hair. Great curved outer canferd lugs. Just a wonderful piece that if you by it New you are garanteed to get 1/10th of your money back. Such original designs.

Oh hell. Some drunk guy stole my phone last night :0
I didn’t read the post until now.
Sorry T!
Honestly not bad looking. But like JP I like the GMT way better than non GMT especially with the numbers on the dial.

Ben.
I agree. I really like some of their pieces but the price is just a bit out of my "comfort zone".
