UX Battery Life

Post by Grahamcombat » Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:10 pm

Does anyone know how long their UX battery is/has run? I know Sinn says it has a 7 year recommendation, but in doing a little research the battery manufacturer states the lifespan is 180 months, or 15 years.

Any practical experience? I just picked up an ‘10 UX that the owner says should be getting service soon...I think I’ll just run it and see how far it goes.

Graham maybe Sinn recommend 7 years so that the battery gets changed before it starts leaking? Just a thought

and maybe it's something different with the oil and something else that needs to be checked at the same time?

I think they run seven or eight. The oil drains it faster than the 15 yrs with a low torque no oil setup. One of mine went just shy of 8 and started doing the low battery jump.
