blancpain mil-spec reissue

Post by jtbenson » Wed Oct 25, 2017 12:00 pm

haven't heard matt g mention delivery date it in a while.
has anyone seen one at your local AD or boutique yet? anyone know if there are any still unspoken for?
If it was spec'd with a brushed case I would have probably tried to snag a spot for one when it was announced (don't have matt's connections to request one delivered that way :excited: ).

there is a guy on the Divers Watch FB page that received his in the UK back in August. Looks great. He is the only one I've seen thus far with one. I know Matt has been awaiting a while.

I think around $15k if I’m not mistaken. It’s a lot.

Rob says they officially pre-sold the entire lot, but if anyone backs out (which is pretty common) prior to final deposit, those watches are fair game. If you’re keen to grab one, give him a call, your odds are good.

Yikes. I'd love a 40mm FF, but I wouldn't love it quite that much.

So same price as a regular FF is pretty nice of BP not to jack up LE.
Everyone who was waiting for a smaller BPFF should be all over it.

If they release a brushed version without date in this size, I'm going to have to make it happen.

I'm curious where the 40mm width is measured. Case or bezel? If it's the case, it will wear closer to a 42. Either way, these will be on the pre-owned market soon enough.
