Not our own design, unfortunately, but I think it looks amazing:

It Seiko can make it look good in their shitty stock photos, it's going to be amazing in person.

lol they do seem to be making the slightest effort these days. Their "2" (i.e. 211 instead of 011) photos are a lot higher res at least.

But yeah, GSes in general look so much better in person.

That is very nice. Do any of their sporty watches have lumed hands and markers?

There are a few like the SBGE201 and SBGA229. They do a good job when they want to use lume but it's pretty infrequent in GS.

That's really nice. I'd do one of those for sure depending on price (haven't looked at article).

I think it’s $7000 and limited to 700 pieces.

$6,500 list.

I find two things odd for this one: 1) a dressy watch was given drilled lugs -- do other GS's have this?, and 2) the thickness (14mm) -- with a 40mm case diametere it's gonna wear like a SeaDweller, which is not a very subtle watch.

It's absolutely beautiful and this is one of maybe only 3 Grand Seiko's I'd buy, oddities notwithstanding.

That dial texture is really cool, I'll be interested to see what the dial color actually looks like once people take real world photos of them.

The dial looks like the Big Green Egg finish.

That watch is fantastic. The drilled lugs are fine by me. I think of it more as a sports watch than a dress watch.

I love drilled lugs. Makes life so much easier. I don't even "see" them unless I actively am trying to remember if my watch has them or not.

Every GS is thicker than it should be and has drilled lugs.
