Hey does anyone know this guy? Seems nice, but want to be sure before I do a deal. Any info would be great. Thanks!

I am located in South FL and welcome face-to-face transactions as well

Reference check

Post by BBK357 » Thu Oct 19, 2017 7:03 pm

I've used him twice.

First deal- was a trade. He actually sent me money and shipped the other watch before I shipped him my watch, was super surprised but he must be a trusting person. Watch was great deal was smooth.

Second deal- I got a tag Aquaracer from him. I found scratches on the dial under the light, also noted that the hand set was changed. I emailed him about the problems and he tried to tell me that if I buy another watch from him he'll take a lot of $ off. I said no I can't have a watch like this with a scratched up dial so I want a refund. He did. All good.

But, I saw a few weeks later he put that Aquaracer on eBay and did not mention the scratched dial or different hands.

Evan....well, I bought the Seamaster GMT from him. His ad said full length bracelet, but it was obviously short. Took three weeks, but he made it right. IMHO, not a bad guy, but read the fine print and ask questions.

Mark, if you want, ask Evan if he can meet someone, so we can verify condition, etc. My commute today can take me past most anyplace in South Florida. Just PM me and glad to help give you some certainty.

I would buy from him again.
Out of all the non DWC deals I've had, his were not bad deals at all. Just inspect whatever you are getting as soon as you get it.

Bought a Tudor black bay once. As already stated, I found undisclosed wear. Plus, the box was crushed and before I even opened it I emailed him and said I didn’t want it (ups looked like they put it through a meat grinder). He got very nasty with me on the phone but in the end took it back.

I don’t mind buying something if I understand the condition, but when you ask very specific questions and they’re answered incorrectly it gets to me

I was going to ask about him as well, he's got a sub for under $5k.

Don't know why people don't just get that it's better to have a string of "watch was better than described/expected". Ive always found it better to promise less and deliver more, it leads to much happier customers.

It takes time to accurately describe a watch and these guys go for max turnovers. Also, most buyers are too stupid to tell the difference either way. These forum sellers aren't great, almost as a rule these days.

He tried to lowball me a couple ways then vanished. No big deal. I'll source it later. Thank you all for the help!
