Baltic Shield in Blue, Orange, Yellow....

Post by Bradystraps » Sat Sep 09, 2017 8:26 am

I am considering doing the Baltic Shield in blue, orange and yellow and looking for input. Any other colors I should consider?
How about accent colors for each dial?

Working on renderings over the next week.

Thank you for your input.

I think orange would be a good choice. People seem to like it, and there aren't many options.

Orange and blue. Leave yellow out if it.
An olive green would probably work as well

Orange and yellow. Too many blue dials out there.

Orange and yellow. Do them like Doxa would. No stupid sunburst dials or anything.

I think orange suggestion is a good one. Olive green sounds like a good choice to produce something that's a little different but should really look good. I also agree no sunburst. Stick with matte Olive and maybe gloss for orange.

Baltic Shield in Blue, Orange, Yellow....

Orange and yellow. The best yellow dials I've seen have had strong black accents or black DLC cases. Orange seems to be more flexible with accent colors.

Orange, but would you be able to modify the case to be thinner?

And get those lug holes closer to the case!

Regarding the lug holes; put a genuine Isofrane on the watch. If you can fit a nickel between the case and the strap, move it closer. It's a dive watch, forget about thick leather straps.

I'd be down with orange and moving the lug holes closer.

If you do a blue one it would be cool to have the sunburst shimmer type dial, like the Turtle Padi...

Any chance to cover the lugs a bit more? would really like to be able to put a bracelet on these, even if straight ended.

How about an orangey-yellow? Too many yellow watches are a plain pale yellow or a 'banana' yellow, no-one ever goes for a rich deep yellow.

Working on a rendering for the orange dial. I like the idea of an olive green dial as well.

Never been a DOXA fan, at all, but... that is definitely the orange I am shooting for. For what it's worth.
