Thank you. It's babied. Driven mainly in nice weather even though we have a hardtop for it. Not a daily driver. Beginning to look at Porsche to add to fleet or replace this one. And yes that is a radar detector in the windshield.

A radar detector was the first thing I bought when I got my first car. I'm thinking about getting one of the Escort MAX CI 360 when I get my next car so I can use it in Virginia.
I always check out Bell. They're owned by Escort and many times have the same or similar features for significantly less $

I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the tip!
Beware of Virginia laws. I thought they were illegal in VA.

They are, but the Escort MAX CI 360 is hardwired into the car and not mounted to the windshield. Since it can’t be seen, I’d guess it’d be safe to use in Virginia. Unless I’m missing something which is possible.
The law stated "Legality of Radar Detectors in Virginia. It is illegal in Virginia to operate a vehicle that is equipped with any type of device, passive or active, used to detect any mechanism employed by police officers to measure the speed of vehicles for law enforcement purposes."

Thanks! I guess if I get one hardwired to my vehicle, I’ll have to turn it off before going into Virginia.

Exactly. Virginia state troopers have had VG2 since at least the mid 90s when I lived there, and could catch it if powered on.

Is VG2 a way to detect radar detectors? If so I didn’t know there was such a thing, and I’ll be sure to take down my current radar detector when I’m in Virginia.

So I picked this up over the weekend:

I wish I had it for the whole Summer, but making the most of it now.
This is exactly what my 12 yr old wants.....he's moved from wanting a Bugatti to a Jeep - so that's better for me.

That's cool! Lots of fun! I'd have one but the Mrs. wouldn't let me get anything new without selling something Image

Chicken shit law. Bet they have ticket quotas too. I suppose scanners are illegal too?

Oh, my 12 year old loves it. Sometimes he just goes and sits in it in the driveway.

Virginia is crazy. If memory serves me correctly, the highest speed limit is 70 and going 80 or above is an automatic wreckless driving charge.

It still is reckless driving, and they have signs at the state line saying that. I hate driving through Virginia.

The watch budget got spent last week. But so worth it. Now just have to be patient through the 1200 mile break-in period.

Thanks all! 2018 M3. Went in to look at the M4 (again) and they finally had an M3 available. Both white. For me it was an easy decision with 2 kids. The backseat area is slightly bigger, has windows they can roll down, and has a middle seat. The M4 will only fit two (no middle seat belt). I also liked the driving position on the M3 better.

It has the cloth and leather seats which at first was a no go. Love the "sports cloth" now - sales manager said more people are ordering them this way. Wife liked it better as well.

All in all, I grin every time I start it up. Can't wait until I can really let her rip. I don't name cars but my 11 year old son said I should name it after a teenage celebrity crush. So, she's Elle. :)

I forgot that the M3 is now a four door and the M4 is the two door. The sport cloth seats are nice from what I hear.

I have a deposit down to have right of first refusal on the new accord. Waiting for my dealership to start getting them in now that they're in production and waiting impatiently.

I've only driven Accords since HS. Owned a 2002 and have leased a 2010, 2013, and currently a 2015 with the lease being up next year

Sadly, the '15 might be my last.

With the elimination of the V6 I just can't get on board with the Accord. Also, the new body lines with the sloping rear are reminiscent of the new Civic body which IMO is too close to a hatch back.

I'm hoping it looks better in person but even still, just not a fan of the 4 banger - turbo or not

You can thank CAFE for that. I'm getting sick of bureaucrats dictating automobile design. They'll keep raising the bar 'til it's all but impossible to design a car with an ICE that will pass muster.

Same reason I bought my F-150. The twin turbo V6s perform well but I prefer the simplicity of the 5.0 V8 and before long I fear the V8 will be gone and only available in the F-250 and up.

I recently saw a video where different mechanics were interviewed and asked if they preferred the 3.6l twin turbo or the 5.0 coyote engine. Something like 7 or 8 out of the 10 chose the 5.0 simply because there is "less stuff to break and repair"

I know there are several former V6 Accord owners who aren't thrilled with the 2 liter. The 2 liter turbo in the accord puts out around 250 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque. It's expected to perform on par with the outgoing naturally aspirated V6 but it'll be more efficient. For me it will still be a step up from my 4 cylinder 2005 accord, which I think has 160 hp.
