Thoughts on this ceramic Sub?

Post by FlyPenFly » Sun Aug 13, 2017 8:57 pm

It's for the wife, she requested a Sub instead of an engagement ring...

Looks okay to me from a good seller and a reasonably good price. Anything I'm missing here?

A nice unpolished 14060M 4-liner would be ideal.

It is hard to tell, but has it possibly been given a light polish?

I would be going for an AD purchased/dated late model with as much of the 5 year warranty as possible, especially if it is going to be kept long term.

I think from the right AD you could get her a brand new one with her name on the card (not to mention 5-year warranty) for $500 more.

It doesn't matter. That's probably not a picture of the actual watch that will show up.

Didn't know he used stock pictures and thought he was a known dealer on TRF

Those TRF guys are a demanding bunch. It's definitely a good idea to let them vet sellers for you.

I'm being sarcastic.

Agreed they don't vet them, but I thought he was one of the trusted ones. My mistake if I am wrong. I have never bought from him, seems a bit pricey to me.

Shit disappears over there...you have to pay close attention.

He's probably mostly ok. He's definitely always expensive though.

DavidSW is a solid guy. I've bought a couple pieces from him and actually met him in person.

I'd still get a new one just for the hell of it.

Sorry, thoughts on one more here? Looks new to me but I have no idea how to spot fakes and the guy has no feedback.

Buy new. Your future bride is worth the few hundred extra.
