Re: thoughts on the rosegold yachmaster?
I was looking for one when I found a rose gold Daytona.... then put it on RubberC. I love it.

Stewart used the line I was going to use....but I will use it again. It's okay as far as a gold watch goes. Gold watches aint my thing.
For that coin I could buy an SS/platinum Yachtmaster and have enough left over for another really nice watch.

FWIW, one of my business partners has this one. Fondle it and it's awesome. However, when he wears it all you really are is black. If you want a lot of subtly in a gold watch this might be for you. Just a bit high of a price in my book for a gold watch where you don't see much gold.

Re: thoughts on the rosegold yachmaster?
this pic really shows off the main attractions for me:
(true) matte dial, matte bezel and maxi markers. the whole reason i couldn't come to terms with the 116600 was the dial was only matte-like, probably because a truly matte dial would have been in too much contrast for the glossy ceramic bezel. wu's blasted bezel came close, but i feel like the dial was the deal breaker for that being the perfect modern rolex for me.
now, my dream "hoppythetical" would be: ditch the cyclops; make the case brushed ti, but polish the sides; make it 41mm; and i'd pony up the rosegold msrp for it.
but then, they'd have to change the name to "pontoonmaster", and that wouldn't really slot into the rolex marketing program (even though it's probably closer to their true segment).
