Got my haveston nato today

Post by gwells » Fri Jul 14, 2017 10:09 am

After our postal carrier lied, signed the registered mail card himself, put it in the large postal delivery box in my office, didn't put the key to that box in our regular box, and marked it as signed for in the mail room. Fucking fraudulent hack. Working on dealing with that separately.

That out of the way, love the packaging, love the strap. Now I just need Jason to get me my Seaforth for it to live on.

I want this one in 22mm with polished hardware for my SRP773. Not in stock yet.

I really wish I liked wearing traditional NATOs. That looks great.

Congrats I am wearing mine as I type this. I am waiting for them to restock other models and for the 22mm for my Astor&Banks and the Seiko.

Now that's a coincidence, I ordered the exact same strap yesterday and being UK based I'm hoping it'll be here tomorrow.
Please post up a pic when you have it on a watch Greg

I don't care for the floating keeper at all.

That's my least favorite thing about the Omega NATO.

Maybe some like it because they have small enough wrists to get the tail back through the floating keeper. I can't, so that sucker just moves around.

yeah, i'm not a bear, i have little 7.25" or so wrists, not 8".

i may end up not liking it, i've never tried one. but i'm curious to see how it feels.

For me personally,
270mm length only (too short)
1.5mm thick (too thick)
removable buckle and not even drilled through (too silly)
reference and backdrops to real vintage canvas when it's nylon (too cheesy)

Prefer ToxicNatos natos by a mile and always like to support guys I know (too obvious)

I'm thinking the same thing, but I'd cut off the extra strap and modify it Mil-series style..

I'm with you on that Greg
The floating keeper works well for me, the biggest downside I've found is that being really thick nylon it makes my Speedy sit too high off the wrist. I may well cut that second bit of strap off.

All I did was tell you (and others who were interested) where to go. You made the smart choice to buy it.
