Sinn U1 Professional
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
Someday it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
It's absolutely perfect on the Iso. It will probably be a long time before my bracelet goes back on.BBK357 wrote:Forgot to update this- but thanks for the suggestion of isofrane guys. It works with my wrist way better than the bracelet, displaces the weight around the wrist. I also have jeffs Sinn rubber coming in soon.

Waiting on my regular bezel...

That's gonna be great.pbj204 wrote:Waiting on my regular bezel...
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
Looking fwd to seeing that, too. Just not an SDR bezel kind of guy. I could almost be tempted to pick up a pro, swap bezels w mine and sell my current U1 as an SDR (transparently).
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
I ordered the bezel 6 weeks ago today. Should be here this week or next according to their last estimate. Really looking forward to it. Now I have to find the perfect leather strap. It looks and wears great on the burgundy Toshi, but I think a rich black leather strap would work great with the gloss black hands. Maybe black cordovan.
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
This'll wear great on any quality leather strap.

Is it going to be tegimented as well?pbj204 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2017 2:34 pmI ordered the bezel 6 weeks ago today. Should be here this week or next according to their last estimate. All U-series bezels are tegimented. It's the cases that sometimes aren't.Panerai7 wrote:Is it going to be tegimented as well?pbj204 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2017 2:34 pmI ordered the bezel 6 weeks ago today. I didn't know that, that's cool

Don't get rid of the Pro bezel. It's not an SDR bezel and might be hard to get in the future.gwells wrote:Looking fwd to seeing that, too. Just not an SDR bezel kind of guy. I could almost be tempted to pick up a pro, swap bezels w mine and sell my current U1 as an SDR (transparently).

You people are crazy swapping off the pro bezel. I think it is one of my favorite aspects of the design. The only thing that would've made it better is a full black case to match.
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
I agree. The bezel is an integral part of the way I intended the watch to look. I hate the standard bezel on it.streetracer101 wrote:You people are crazy swapping off the pro bezel. +2. The color way for the bezel is a key part of the design.CGSshorty wrote:I agree. The bezel is an integral part of the way I intended the watch to look. +3. While I may look fine with the silver bezel, it's perfect as it is.

I've never really liked naked bezels. I had a bad ass ezm2, prob would have kept it (longer) if it had a black bezel.
I hate to criticize, but to be honest if I could do something different with the U1P bezel it would be to black out all of the hashes after the 15 mark. But quite frankly it's the best bezel that's ever been placed on a U1.
And I cannot see them being obtained except for service issues.

I know the U1P bezel is different, so I won't sell it. I've always preferred the naked bezel on Sinns though. If I could have a naked bezel without the red, I'd drop the coin on that in an instant.
Personal preference is all.
Personal preference is all.
Re: Sinn U1 Professional
i didn't realize it was different, so maybe my thought wasn't a great one to swap/sell. but i'm with matt, i prefer the naked bezel. just in general i prefer steel cases/bezels.

You never know, he might just get it. There was huge demand for this from the Japanese market, among others.

Re: Sinn U1 Professional
If I still had mine and was profit motivated, I'd list it at $5k/best offer with international shipping on eBay and wait to see what came in. It really is the best designed U1 IMO and I'm sure there are many outside the US that will pay a premium for it.
