Pelagos Clasp Rust?

Post by Chocodove » Tue Jun 06, 2017 7:24 am

Anyone here experience this? These are always on my shortlist and I'm curious if it's because this one (and the other examples mentioned) had exposure to saltwater or if just sweat will seriously cause this. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f23/tudor- ... 86618.html

Pelagos Clasp Rust?

That appears to be filed in with a colored grease pencil, they the type sometimes used to highlight lettering on firearms.

If rust, it's likely because it wasn't rinsed after prolonged seawater exposure.

While the bracelet is titanium, that part of the clasp is stainless.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've owned several and never a problem.

 That's not something I'd expect at this price point or even in the neighborhood of that price point.

I've never seen that before. Only case I'd expect it to happen is if you don't rinse it off after a dive and even still probably after a number of dives.

I think it looks great. You should scrape the bezel against asphalt - #character #bro #dig #vintage
