Was surprised to see this when I woke up this morning. Sounds like his wife was just as surprised.

Chris had a nice string of hits, with the U1 Professional being the best.

Apparently happened after last night's concert. Media is reporting suicide as cause. I'm bummed since I always admired his voice and unique music, but never got around to a concert. Terrible loss.

A few yrs back we hired him to do a private party for our company. He was a fun guy to hang out and chat with and an incredible gift to music. Just a very nice dude. Damn this sucks.

I did concert security in the late 80's and early '90....loudest band I EVER did.

Talented for sure.

Shit, sucks. Enjoyed sound garden for sure and later on audioslave. Definitely had one of the best voices in rock

I saw Soundgarden live more times than I can count. It's unreal how many of these great artists from my teens/early 20s are gone. Sad.

Damm, his acoustic cover of Lennon's Imagine is what made me a fan. Incredible

This is super sad, Scott Weiland and now Chris. The singers of my two favorite bands when I was a teenager are gone.

Chris' voice was super unique, really dig his work with Soundgarden, Audioslave and even some of his solo stuff.

Here's a recently performance of The Promise, theme song for the movie of same name.

RIP. A talented man.

Cornell Nick...not he Short man.. I'm thinking Shorty is all good with Clive at his side.

I'm feeling outshined.

One of my all time favorite bands (Soundgarden). I feel old and saddened.
