Incoming...Again
Well, actually it just arrived and this one is a keeper.
After my last experience I was a bit gun shy about doing this again, but I decided to try one last time to find a new PAM000 at a dealer. I carpet bombed the US ADs with emails and finally found one hit at an AD in TX - actually, they said they had two! I wasn't about to buy completely sight-unseen and risk disappointment again, so I pinged Chris (unixshrk) and asked him if he knew anyone in the area of the dealer who might be able to drop by and have a look at the watch before I bought it. He said that Brian (mellonb1) was close and might be able to help. A couple of PMs later and Brian was off to the dealer to be my eyes.
Not only did Brian visit one dealer, but he visited both branches of this AD in order to find the better of the two pieces they had! After seeing the second piece Brian gave me the thumbs up and I decided to pull the trigger. The AD sent it overnight by FedEx and it just arrived. Brian was right, it's perfect.
Needless to say I'm extremely pleased with the watch, but I think the real story here is the kindness and camaraderie of DWC members. I've never met or even spoken to Brian before but he was more than willing to spend his personal time to help me out (Chris and I text each other about watch crap all the time so no surprise that he'd be right there to lend a hand). Very much appreciated
Q&D wrist shot (complete with dust and cell phone reflection ). More to come...

Awesome of Brian and congrats on the 000! If I were to get another PAM I think that'd be the one.

Re: Incoming...Again
Thanks Jeff. I almost caved and bought a new 005 that my local AD still has in stock. I love that watch as well and it was a less risky buy. But I really wanted the 000 and I'm glad I held out for it.

DWC three way, FTW! Congrats, Andrew. I too would've held out for the zero.

Well done all around.

I miss mine so much. Selling it was the worst watch decision I ever made.
