Defective 1200t
I am having a nightmare with Doxa. I have read other nightmare stories and it seems like I have made a very bad choice to spend my hard earned money with this company. I bought a 1200t carribean. The thing arrives and the first sign that something is odd is the crown is unscrewed when it arrives. I have never seen that in a new watch. I set the time and date and screw it in. It's stiff but it works. The following day I realize I set the wrong date so I unscrew the crown to set it and this watch will immediately be in the date set mode when unscrewed. I repeated this process if screwing it in and out and about one in every four or five times the watch will start changing the date instead of winding. Without pulling it out to first detent it starts changing date. It's defective. Now I'm dealing with Doxa and it is terrible. The first guy tells me the watch isn't defective it just has a tight crown but they will replace it. Then when I ask where to send the watch I get no reply. Next I call the PR number. The guy seems nice and tells me what to do in order to send watch back. I fill out their form and email it. I get a confirmation that they received it and they will process it and send me a message telling me where to ship the watch. It's now been a week and no contact from doxa. I can't imagine it would take a week to process a form. Now I'm trying to get a hold of the PR guy again and no reply. I am sick over this. To spend that kind of money and receive a defective watch is just the worst feeling ever. I have probably 30 dive watches and have never had a single problem with any of them. I go and spend 1600 on a doxa and receive a piece of crap and terrible customer service. Oh and I really just wanted my money refunded but was told that I could not do that because I sized the bracelet. They have a 10 day money back guarantee but that's basically if you don't touch the watch. Now how in the hell are you going to know if something is wrong with the watch unless you use it? So now if they ever do replace this watch is am stuck with a watch from a company that I can't stand because of the way I've been treated.

Did you buy it on a CC? If so, call them now. If they will process a charge back I'd do it. On the other hand, 10 days of silence doesn't sound so bad - for Doxa.

Re: Defective 1200t
I did buy on cc but they say they will not refund money but will replace watch. Yeah I am finding out that their customer service is shit. As well as their product. It really sucks because this was kind of my grail watch. I've always wanted a doxa and this is what I get.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2017 12:33 pmDid you buy it on a CC? If so, call them now. Re: Defective 1200t
I'd talk to your CC company and see if they will let you walk away from the transaction. Mine would. Really though, people get bummer Rolex watches sometimes and I bet the RSC would be radio silent for at least a week. If you like the watch, I'd ride it out. If not, talk to you CC about a "charge back" - basically a forced return.

Re: Defective 1200t
It is tough when someone shows up for the first time on a forum and it is to bash a brand. Not that it isn't warranted, but for the regulars here it is as bad as walking into someone's house that you don't know for the first time and you start yelling and complaining.
But we do understand.
Do a chargeback on your CC or file a paypal complaint.

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum, but have lurked for a while and I need to vent. My new Doxa is having problems and I'm not getting a timely reply from the company. do any of you have contacts or experience dealing with them? Should I be concerned? I'm pretty frustrated, having spent $1600 and dealing with this.

Re: Defective 1200t
Did you try 2 screwdrivers on the Doxa? Seems to work for most.

Wow the charge back idea is interesting. I've never heard of such a thing. I will look into that if I can't get these idiots to respond to me. Thanks for all of the replies. Some helpful...some comforting...some just assholish...haha. This is my first forum. Seems like a good fun bunch of boys. Sorry it's just to bitch but I have been freaking out about this damn thing. I've read a bunch of doxa horror stories on other forums and I'm living it now. Didn't know what else to do or where to go.

Thanks hoppy Jr. I really was looking for a way to tell my story without writing a book but failed. If you think that's "assholish" you need to GTFO now, because it only gets worse.
