Love that we were at 64 yesterday, but a few hours away ,they were getting feet of snow...
Gotta love Colorado. Play 18 holes of golf in the morning, and night ski that evening

My job already closed for tomorrow (NYC). So I'm drinking a 10% ABV beer to celebrate.

I'm so sick of snow, I could just shit a rubber chicken. 12-minute drives have regularly become 30-minute drives, and 30-minute commutes can be an hour 5 in blizzard conditions. I pulled not one, but two people back onto the road in urban residential traffic with the jeep and the tow strap today (one on the way in, one a block from home after work). As an aside, the only place *anywhere* on the back of some recent suppository-smooth minivans to hitch a tow strap to is the rear deck latch if you pop the hatch. Roads are so slick, it's not even like there's that much pressure on the rear latch loop; van pulled right back onto the ice ruts, shut the hatch and off they went.

As I type, it's 29 and snowing at 9:20pm. By 1am, it's supposed to be 35 and raining. By tomorrow morning, it should be over 40 on the way to a high of 47. That's just weird. Meanwhile, the guest artist I have coming in tonight is on a flight delayed by an hour. Crazy indeed.

Its the peak of our summer and we have rain and storms forecast all week. Its actually cold outside when it's normally 120 degrees. Bizarre.

No kidding. I woke up at 6 AM to set off for Secaucus, NJ (from Boston) only to discover that the roads were covered in ice. I waited a couple of hours for things to thaw. By the time I got to NJ, it was in the high 50s if not low 60s. They're predicting 8-14" Thursday, and frigid temperatures Friday. WTF?

Careful with that tow strap, Michael, especially if you have one with steel hooks sewn into the ends. Those nylon straps stretch like rubber bands and if that hatch back latch breaks off, the hook will come back at your Jeep at high velocity. I've seen photos of straps punched through rear windows.

I also have a snatch strap stored in the back of my truck, but I look for solid points of connection, like a trailer hitch. Without that, I'll call you a wrecker.

Just a PSA. Be careful.

I guess trailer hitches aren't meant to be shock loaded.
