Going by the pics the head of Richemont looks like a physical bag of baller shit. J

I like the work Jerome Lambert did at JLC previously and currently at Montblanc.
But yeah, changes needed to be made here and other Houses as well

Re: Management Shakeup at Richemont
This was all I needed to see:
"Georges Kern, who leads Richemont’s IWC brand, will become head of watchmaking, marketing and digital"
They should have kicked that goofball to the curb. Also, where are the people who used to respond to IWC's shitty new designs with a "but they're selling, so they must be doing something right"? Clearly Kern's penchant for shitty designs at top of the market prices has paid off well.

I can't really be mad at IWC this year. They've righted a lot of wrongs.

They're clearly getting back on track. The 40mm Inge, the new pilots, the new (but pretty ugly) AT. Too little too late though. It seems like Richemont used all their bad idea capital on Panerai.Panerai7 wrote:I can't really be mad at IWC this year. They've righted a lot of wrongs.

The snap on back, new base model replacements are a real miss.Panerai7 wrote:Yeah Pam is uninspiring as of lateJP Chestnut wrote:They're clearly getting back on track. Agreed, that is very disappointing. Hard for me to justify another PAM or I'd grab one of the remaining 000s from my AD.JP Chestnut wrote:The snap on back, new base model replacements are a real miss.Panerai7 wrote:Yeah Pam is uninspiring as of lateJP Chestnut wrote:They're clearly getting back on track. Re: Management Shakeup at Richemont
IWC and Panerai are the only two darlings of the company, so Bonati isn't going anywhere just yet.

I might add JLC, VC and AL&S to that list too.DON wrote:IWC and Panerai are the only two darlings of the company, so Bonati isn't going anywhere just yet.

Re: Management Shakeup at Richemont
He's the only CEO Panerai under Richemont has ever had and he led the brand to great success in a relatively short time. If Richemont's current struggles were Panerai specific then I could see that his head might be on the chopping block, but this problem is industry wide and so I doubt Richemont would lay any blame at his feet.Panerai7 wrote:Great!

Only IWC and Panerai were the money makers with above average sales. Rest performed below par

With the current global lack of consumer confidence it's hard to see changes at that level leading to real results is % growth. The world needs a return to growth to filter through to more people buying luxury goods.

Also throw in the relaxing of the anti corruption laws in China, and this would help high end Swiss watch sales a little… JJamie wrote:With the current global lack of consumer confidence it's hard to see changes at that level leading to real results is % growth.
