And a removable buckle, so it's not like NATO at all

More like a canvas strap with nato-ish keepers. Still, nice strap if it fits you. It'll fit Mike, but with my smaller wrist the tail would stick out too much. And the bracelet won't fit anyone with a wrist smaller than 7 1/4". They made a 40mm watch for people with big wrists.

....better than Eterna, who built a 43mm watch that the mesh doesn't fit anyone over 7-1/4

Or a big pilot that I could only buckle on the last hole and too short to feed through the first keeper. Who makes 46mm watches with 10mm protruding crown and a short strap

Your Big Pilot must have been ordered with the Small Straplet.

They need to take a hint from Seiko, whose bracelets fit any wrist from 4 -12", and if that's still not enough they'll give you more links for free. I almost didn't buy the watch because of the bracelet/strap situation, but as you know, the screwdrivers saved the day.

Had one of the originals with "razor" bracelet. Very uncomfortable to wear, but re-issue looks cool.

Uncomfortable on bracelet? What about other types of straps?

Original, as in 1960's piece?

Actually, later Le Jour/AMF branded 70's version. Similar, but suppose not really relevant to this conversation. Apologies... ;)

Steve that was a screwed up design on that one only that uncomfortable strap would fit since it had that screw set up. I think if that bicycle bracelet was set up for that one it would of been more comfortable. And Mike congrats on buying one a while back I was looking at these looks like the price came down a little on them.

Yeah Mike, you're right. I could never get it to fit just right so maybe wore it once, and then off it went...

What are your impressions now that you've had it a while? Curious about your perception of build quality, wear-ability, etc. It certainly looks cool and unique - I'm just trying to determine if it is something I would wear beyond only occasionally.

I just opened the box at midnight when I got back from a business trip. Love it so far. Detail and quality is fantastic. NATO is ok, but as usual I can't quite get the right spot (loose or tight). Think I'll order the bracelet as well. Lume is stellar. I think it is very well done.
