Alpina's Alpiner Heritage KM-710 Marine
Alpina's Alpiner Heritage KM-710 Marine
Here is a nice new Alpina guys. Maybe you caught it already.
This new Alpina gets it's inspiration from the Navy Service Watch evidently, and has a 41.5 mm
stainless steel case, "glass box" sapphire crystal, 50 meter water resistance, along with a sapphire
display back also.
Just a few more details include silver dial with black numbers, beige dot markers, black hands with
beige Super-Luminova, and nice decorated 26 jewel Alpina in house AL-710 with 42 hour power reserve.
It's strap is a dark brown leather, and the watch comes in a special commemorative box.
Check it out guys...

Not bad.
If they dropped the date function, added a screw crown and 100m wr I'd buy one.

That's a beaut, Tom, just not keen on the numbes above the brand name and the glass back. Design and shape are great, though.

Very nice. I like the date subdial as well.
Really happy for Alpina in general

Nice reproduction. Interesting how they retained the K.M. (Kriegsmarine) designation.

I also like that it uses their in-house caliber

Looks good. However, I would have much preferred a seconds subdial rather than central seconds with hand date subdial. Also, would have used a single font for all the dial text rather than Alpina in a different font (but the marketing/branding guys at Alpina would have hemorrhaged).

I like it, Tom. Great looking watch, I'd wear that.

Looks cool overall, but I would want a little more differentiation between the hour and minute hands.

Good call. I hadn't noticed that.gonzomantis wrote:Looks cool overall, but I would want a little more differentiation between the hour and minute hands.

I like it a lot. I'd consider buying one depending on the price.

Re: Alpina's Alpiner Heritage KM-710 Marine
I see something similar for $950 but it's not quite the same. I'd be tempted at that price, so I'm glad it's not the same watch, because I definitely shouldn't be buying anything.smalls wrote:One on recon for $900 I believe.

Man this could be my "one watch without rotating bezel" watch. .. I really like the classic, simple look it has. To me Alpina is one of the best all around bang for the buck brands around; too bad for their resale price for us flippers but overall... awesome brand

Lots to like here, but....
agree with the earlier comment that the hour and minute hands are too similar in length.
And, that date wheel is a no-go. Watch would work much better without it. Can't figure out why watch manufacturers always add date functions to hommage watches where the original did not have the date function.
Other than that, a nice effort.
