I bought a Jenny and had great experience from Doxa. Not interested in having $500 held random toward another model. I don't want another model - I want 300!

What do you mean? I am under the impression that if you put a deposit down for a 300, you get one. As I understand it, the deposit is non-refundable in that if you change your mind on the 300, it has to be used towards another Doxa Sub model.

^^^yeah, I don't think Doxa will accept a deposit from folks once all 300 watches are spoken for. It's just that if you make a deposit and change your mind, you don't get your cash back. You have to put the money toward another Doxa.

Correct. After the 300 are sold, they close. They just don't want people ordering and then backing out, which is certainly valid.

I've bought a bunch of Doxas and never had any CS problems. And yes, I did have a warranty issue once, and it was handled professionally and quickly.

I've been following this thread. I'll probably pull the trigger on a Pro in the morning. It would be my first Doxa.

Good to hear, I am mainly referring to when on the other forum they said they wouldn't warranty hands that weren't painted all the way on the sides and they said it wasn't a defect. I know companies (except for Kobold that is) and get better or worse but some of the stuff that happened in the past still lingers in the back of my mind about them. Not to mentioned them banned their number one cheerleader (dremer) from their forum also. :salute:

Did DOXA ever specify the size of the dial? Wondering if it'll essentially be the same size as a vintage 300.

I believe it's supposed to be exactly the same size as the vintage 300 dial.

I think I'm going to put the deposit down on a Searambler. I've had a 5000T pro, a 750 SR, and a vintage SR. Clearly I'm a sucker for the silver dialed version.

+1 that is small. I have 40mm watches with significantly larger dials.

I don't think the dial is too small. All relative, I guess.

The 600t I bought from sharkfin years ago and it had a super small dial also. It looked great in pics though.
